Preschool with Peter Rabbit

A Year of Tales Preschool is a gentle introduction to learning for young children, ages 3-6. Focusing on literature and nature as a base, blending together the rich and imaginative tales from Beatrix Potter, and encouraging character, play-based enrichment, and exploration, this curriculum will create a memorable year of education for both the student and the teacher. The complete curriculum contains 26 weeks of lessons with additional learning included to expand the curriculum, as desired.

Each week you will study a new character trait, a Bible verse that encourages and instructs, read thoughtful and well-written literature—as well as a new tale by Beatrix Potter—create beautiful and enjoyable handcrafts, as well as exploring nature and science together with a developmentally appropriate hands-on approach, all while focusing on play. You will also find project-based learning spread throughout the weekly grid.

Every Friday you will break in your lessons for a very special tea time for review, connection, and remembering.  A field trip recommendation is also given each Friday for bridging what you have learned in stories, resources, and creativity with your young child in a simple, yet purposeful way.

Preschoolers and Kinders will have a year of invitation. You will have a gentle year together, reading intentional books for encouraging your learner to become more inquisitive and aware of the world around them. These students will enjoy creating simple pieces of art, simple phonics and math concepts, and learning to write small amounts in the form of character words and memory verses. He or she will make messes, explore nature, and learn more about their own hearts.

Your child will stretch both mind and heart while journeying through every week, every tale.

You will note that this preschool curriculum is offered in two options for use, one set to align with A Year of Tales for Kinder-3rd grade by weeks, and one to complete from A-Z through the alphabet.
